Why hello there!
I’m so happy you have found my blog. I'm Lauriane, I’m a graphic designer/photographer/lover of all things ocean/self-proclaimed fashionista. I was born and raised in Montreal, Canada and moved to Dublin, Ireland in spring 2015.
SO, WHAT'S YOUR STORY ?
I'm a full-time graphic designer with a background in communications and photography.
For as far as I can remember I've been fascinated by the sea, despite living in a place with no sea at all. I was obsessed with The Little Mermaid, Flipper and of course, Free Willy (see proof below). I can sit in front of marine life documentaries for hours, no really. This passion is one of the many reasons I moved to beautiful rainy Ireland (I know right? Could've picked a more tropical place..)
Sadly, I've absolutely no talent for maths and science, and so my career in Marine Biology was short-lived. Recently though, I went through with my long-term plan of becoming a scuba diver, and it hit me when I was studying for it: I am never happier than when I'm around the sea, and I should get more involved in taking care of it.
WHAT ARE YOU GONNA DO ABOUT IT?
However, I love shopping and makeup and fashion and probably most things that are not eco-friendly. I love watching makeup and fashion gurus on Youtube and learning, it's my little self-care thing. That's when the idea sprung up in the middle of washing dishes ; what if I could find a way to enjoy these things in an ocean-friendly way?
My mission for this blog is to learn as much as I can and make ocean-friendly changes while staying the fashionista that I am. And why not let others in on my tips and tricks? I won't make anyone feel guilty for living their life, but I do want to help in any way I can in finding easy solutions!
